To advance to the championship game, Dunstone won 6-4 over Kody Hartung (Langenburg, SK) in the semifinals of the 2020 SaskTel Tankard in Melville, Saskatchewan;
 
Dunstone finished 5-2 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Dunstone defeated Lloyd Fell (Unity, SK) 8-2, then won 9-3 against Josh Heidt (Kerrobert, SK) and 9-3 against Hartung. Dunstone went on to lose 7-6 against Muyres. Dunstone responded with a 10-3 win over Heidt. Dunstone went on to lose 6-5 against Hartung. Dunstone responded with a 7-6 win over Shaun Meachem (Saskatoon, SK) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the SaskTel Tankard Championship title, Dunstone earned 25.538 world rankings points. Dunstone move up 2 spots after posting a net gain of 21.484 points improving upon their best 8 results so far this season, ranking 12th overall with 239.172 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Dunstone ranks 12th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 210.560 points earned so far this season.
