Kyler Kurina (Calgary, AB) won 5-4 over Wyatt Wright (Cochrane, AB) in the Final of the Ponoka U18 Junior Bonspiel, held January 17 - 19, 2020 in Ponoka, Alberta. To advance to the championship game, Kurina won 6-4 over Alberta's Ben Kelba in the semifinals
 
Kurina finished 3-0 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Kurina defeated Marcus Sawiak (Sherwood Park, AB) 9-4, then won 7-4 against 's Kaleb Rauhala and 7-3 against Wright in their final qualifying round match.
