Heidt responded with a 7-6 win over Michael Carss (Saskatoon, SK). Heidt went on to lose 8-3 against Lloyd Fell (Unity, SK) in their final qualifying round match.

Heidt earned 2.290 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, moving up 43 spots the World Ranking Standings into 282nd place overall with 6.376 total points. Heidt ranks 341st overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 2.290 points earned so far this season.
