Magnusson won 9-8 against Luc Violette (Lake Stevens, USA), then won 5-4 against Giacomo Colli (Trentino, ITA) and 6-2 against Matthew Neilson (Naseby, NZL). Magnusson went on to lose 8-2 against Sixten Totzek (Hamburg, GER). Magnusson lost 6-4 to Andrey Dudov (Moscow, RCF) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Magnusson earned 6.600 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 31 of the event schedule, Magnusson did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Magnusson ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
