Luc Violette (Lake Stevens, USA) finished 4-5 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Violette defeated Jacques Gauthier (Winnipeg, CAN) 5-4, then won 8-3 against Eirik Oey (Oslo, NOR). Violette went on to lose 8-5 against Sixten Totzek (Hamburg, GER). Violette lost 7-4 to Andrey Dudov (Moscow, RCF). Violette lost 9-8 to Daniel Magnusson (Karlstad, SWE). Violette lost 7-4 to Yves Wagenseil (Bern, SUI) where Violette responded with a 8-7 win over Giacomo Colli (Trentino, ITA). Violette went on to lose 7-6 against James Craik (Aberdeen, SCO). Violette responded with a 8-2 win over Matthew Neilson (Naseby, NZL) in their final qualifying round match.

Violette earned 5.280 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 31 of the event schedule, Violette did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Violette ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
