Liam Marin (Saint John, NB) finished 1-8 in the 14-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Marin lost 7-4 to Tyler Smith (Montague, PEI), droppimg another game, 9-5 to Jacques Gauthier (Winnipeg, MB). Marin lost 7-5 to Brett Walter (Winnipeg, MB). Marin lost 8-7 to Jacob Horgan (Sudbury, NONT). Marin lost 7-6 to Greg Cheal (Lennoxville, QC). Marin lost 11-3 to Graeme Weagle (Chester, NS). Marin lost 9-3 to Owen Purdy (Kingston, ON) where Marin responded with a 15-1 win over Sawer Kaeser (Fort Smith, NT). Marin went on to lose 8-7 against Johnson Tao (Richmond, BC) in their final qualifying round match.

Marin earned 1.145 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 27 of the event schedule, Marin did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Marin ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
