Graeme Weagle (Chester, NS) finished 5-5 in the 14-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Weagle lost 9-4 to Brett Walter (Winnipeg, MB), then responded with a 5-3 win over Jacob Horgan (Sudbury, NONT). Weagle won 11-3 against Jacques Gauthier (Winnipeg, MB), then won 8-6 against Greg Cheal (Lennoxville, QC). Weagle went on to lose 8-4 against Tyler Smith (Montague, PEI). Weagle responded with a 11-3 win over Liam Marin (Saint John, NB). Weagle went on to lose 6-5 against Hayato Sato (New Westminster, BC). Weagle lost 5-4 to Daniel Bruce (St. John's, NL) where Weagle responded with a 9-7 win over Rylan Kleiter (Saskatoon, SK). Weagle went on to lose 9-4 against Ryan Jacques (Edmonton, AB) in their final qualifying round match.

Weagle earned 5.726 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 27 of the event schedule, Weagle did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Weagle ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
