Krista McCarville (Thunder Bay, NONT) won 6-5 over Krysta Burns (Sudbury, NONT) in the Final McCarville advanced directly to the championship game after finishing first in the preliminary round. of the Northern Ontario Scotties Championship, held January 29 - February 2, 2020 in Temiskaming Shores, Ontario.

McCarville finished 6-0 in the 7-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, McCarville defeated Camille Daly (Sudbury, NONT) 8-2, then won 9-3 against Laura Johnston (North Bay, NONT) and 9-4 against Burns. McCarville won 10-4 against Mandy Gebhardt (New Liskeard, NONT), then won 9-6 against Bella Croisier (Sudbury, NONT) and 9-4 against Abby Deschene (Sudbury, NONT) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Northern Ontario Scotties Championship Championship title, McCarville earned 5.625 world rankings points. For week 28 of the event schedule, McCarville did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. McCarville ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
