Amy MacDonald (Morey, SCO) finished 4-3 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, MacDonald lost 7-4 to Maggie Wilson (Aberdeen, SCO), then responded with a 9-3 win over Lisa Davie (Stirling, SCO). MacDonald won 11-4 against Susan Kesley (Edinburgh, SCO). MacDonald went on to lose 6-5 against Beth Farmer (Kinross, SCO). MacDonald lost 7-2 to Eve Muirhead (Perth, SCO) where MacDonald responded with a 6-3 win over Sophie Jackson (Dumfries, SCO). MacDonald won 10-4 against Rachael Dakers (Edinburgh, SCO) in their final qualifying round match.

MacDonald earned 7.182 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 30 of the event schedule, MacDonald did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. MacDonald ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
