Hopson/Tippett went on to lose 7-6 against Lauren Wasylkiw/Shane Konings (Unionville, ON). Hopson/Tippett responded with a 11-7 win over McKenna McGovern/Sam Steep (Forest, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
