Mooradian/Pallen went on to lose 9-2 against Katie Cottrill/Shawn Cottrill (Wingham, ON). Mooradian/Pallen responded with a 10-2 win over Taylor Longo/Christopher Inglis (Belleville, ON) in their final qualifying round match.

Mooradian/Pallen earned 2.456 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins.
