Matthew Hall (Waterloo, ON) won 8-5 over Matthew Manuel (Halifax, NS) in the Final of the USPORTS - University Curling Championships, held March 11 - 15, 2020 in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba. To advance to the championship game, Hall won 8-4 over Dylan Niepage (Guelph, ON) in the semifinals
 
Hall finished 7-0 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Hall defeated Niepage 10-5, then won 9-3 against Daniel Bruce (St. John's, NL) and 10-2 against Nicholas Lemieux (St. Catharines, ON). Hall won 10-3 against Mitchell Katcher (Brandon, MB), then won 6-3 against Karsten Sturmay (Edmonton, AB) and 6-5 against Ryan Grabarczyk (Regina, SK). Hall won 5-4 against Manuel in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the USPORTS - University Curling Championships Championship title, Hall earned 22.444 world rankings points. For week 34 of the event schedule, Hall did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Hall ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
