Joanisse finished 4-0 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Joanisse defeated Cameron de Jong (Penticton, BC) 9-3, then won 6-4 against Cseke and 9-2 against Ken McArdle (New Westminster, BC). Joanisse won 7-0 against Jason Montgomery (Victoria, BC) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the King Cash Spiel, Joanisse take home 11.398 world rankings points along with the $2,400CDN prize, moving up 35 spots the World Ranking Standings into 147th place overall with 25.102 total points.
