Richard finished 4-0 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Richard defeated Rob Nobert (Vernon, BC) 6-3, then won 7-5 against Sean Geall (New Westminster, BC) and 7-6 against Paul Cseke (Victoria, BC). Richard won 12-3 against Mitchell Kopytko (Kamloops, BC) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Kamloops Crown of Curling, Richard take home 12.532 world rankings points along with the $3,000CDN prize, moving up 28 spots the World Ranking Standings into 92nd place overall with 32.869 total points.
