Jan Iseli (Solothun, SUI) finished 4-3 in the 32-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Iseli lost 7-4 to Daniel Magnusson (Karlstad, SWE), then responded with a 7-4 win over Sergio Vez (Vitoria-Gasteiz, ESP).
