Middaugh went on to lose 8-5 against Jeff Stoughton (Winnipeg, MB). Middaugh responded with a 6-4 win over British Columbia's Bert Gretzinger. Middaugh went on to lose 8-3 against David Mundell (Galleon, SCO) in their final qualifying round match.
