Alberta's Charley Thomas won 7-2 over British Columbia's Tyrel Griffith in the Final of the M&M Meats Shops Canadian Junior Curling Championships, held January 21 - 29, 2006 at the Fort William Curling Club in Thunder Bay, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Alberta's Charley Thomas won 7-6 over Ontario's Codey Maus in the semifinals of the 2006 M&M Meats Shops Canadian Junior Curling Championships in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada;
 
Alberta's Charley Thomas finished 8-4 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Alberta's Charley Thomas defeated Northwest Territories's Colin Miller 12-1, then went on to lose 9-3 against Manitoba's Travis Bale. Alberta's Charley Thomas responded with a 12-1 win over Prince Edward Island's Brett Gallant. Alberta's Charley Thomas won 9-4 against Northern Ontario's Jeff Sargent. Alberta's Charley Thomas went on to lose 7-4 against Nova Scotia's Dominic Daemen. Alberta's Charley Thomas lost 6-4 to Saskatchewan's Mitch Heidt where Alberta's Charley Thomas responded with a 10-1 win over Newfoundland / Labrador's Alan Hamilton. Alberta's Charley Thomas went on to lose 6-4 against British Columbia's Tyrel Griffith. Alberta's Charley Thomas responded with a 10-7 win over Ontario's Codey Maus. Alberta's Charley Thomas won 9-3 against Yukon's Trevor Prosko, then won 8-5 against Quebec's Martin Crete and 6-4 against New Brunswick's Jeremy Mallais in their final qualifying round match.
