Dropkin won 9-5 against Scott Dunnam (Philadelphia, PA), then won 7-2 against Todd Birr (Blaine, MN) and 7-5 against Greg Persinger (Fairbanks, AK). Dropkin went on to lose 7-3 against Riley Fenson (Chaska, MN). Dropkin responded with a 4-3 win over Rich Ruohonen (Minneapolis, MN). Dropkin went on to lose 8-4 against Luc Violette (Chaska, MN) in their final qualifying round match.
