To advance to the championship game, Bear/Stopera won 7-2 over Jenna Burchesky/Ben Richardson (Walpole, MA) in the semifinals of the 2021 USA Curling Mixed Doubles National Championship in Wausau, Wisconsin, United States;
 
Bear/Stopera finished 5-0 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Bear/Stopera defeated Nicole Avalon/Sean Franey (Oakland, CA) 9-5, then won 11-2 against Susan Dudt/Daniel Dudt (Philadelphia, PA) and 9-7 against Delaney Strouse/Nicholas Connolly (Midland, MI). Bear/Stopera won 10-2 against Maureen Stolt/Peter Stolt (Plymouth, MN), then won 8-2 against Taylor Anderson/Hunter Clawson (Philadephia, PA) in their final qualifying round match.
