To advance to the championship game, Skaslien won 7-6 over Almida de Val (Karlstad, SWE) in the semifinals of the 2021 World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship in Aberdeen, Scotland; and won 7-5 over Stefania Constantini (Trentino, ITA) in the quarterfinals. of the 2021 World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship in Aberdeen, Scotland;
Skaslien finished 8-1 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Skaslien defeated Courtney Smith (Naseby, NZL) 10-1, then won 8-4 against Oona Kauste (Hyvinkaa, FIN). Skaslien went on to lose 10-5 against de Val. Skaslien responded with a 8-6 win over Ying Yang (Beijing, CHN). Skaslien won 7-1 against Marie Turmann (Tallinn, EST), then won 11-1 against Anna Fowler (London, ENG) and 9-5 against Jenny Perret (Glarus, SUI). Skaslien won 8-7 against Tabitha Peterson (Chaska, USA), then won 11-5 against Yurika Yoshida (Kitami, JPN) in their final qualifying round match.
