Sophie Blades (Chester, NS) finished 3-5 in the 18-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Blades defeated Cassie Rogers (Yellowknife, NT) 8-5, then went on to lose 11-7 against Celia Evans (Oromocto, NB). Blades lost 8-6 to Rachel MacLean (Cornwall, PEI) where Blades responded with a 6-2 win over Jolianne Fortin (Kenogami, QC). Blades went on to lose 9-3 against Tansy Tober (Winnipeg, MB). Blades lost 7-2 to Mackenzie Mitchell (St. John's, NL). Blades lost 9-3 to Katy Lukowich (Sudbury, NONT) where Blades responded with a 10-8 win over Serena Gray-Withers (Edmonton, AB) in their final qualifying round match.

Blades earned 3.785 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 36 of the event schedule, Blades did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Blades ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
