Emily Deschenes (Ottawa, ON) lost 7-5 to Taylour Stevens (Halifax, NS) in the Final of the Canadian Junior Womens Championship, held March 25 - April 1, 2022 in Stratford, Ontario. To advance to the championship game, Deschenes won 10-5 over Katy Lukowich (Sudbury, NONT) in the semifinals of the 2022 Canadian Junior Womens Championship in Stratford, Ontario; and won 7-4 over Serena Gray-Withers (Edmonton, AB) in the quarterfinals. of the 2022 Canadian Junior Womens Championship in Stratford, Ontario;
 
Deschenes finished 6-2 in the 18-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Deschenes defeated Holly Hafeli (Kamloops, BC) 11-8, then won 10-3 against Claire Booth (Calgary, AB) and 13-4 against Bayly Scoffin (Whitehorse, YK). Deschenes won 9-4 against Morgan Maguet (East St. Paul, MB). Deschenes went on to lose 8-7 against Stevens. Deschenes responded with a 9-3 win over Lauren Cheal (Lennoxville, QC). Deschenes went on to lose 6-5 against Madison Kleiter (Saskatoon, SK). Deschenes responded with a 8-6 win over Rachel Steele (Toronto, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Canadian Junior Womens Championship, Deschenes take home 18.505 world rankings points, moving up 78 spots the World Ranking Standings into 102nd place overall with 20.744 total points.
