Emily Deschenes (Ottawa, ON) lost 7-5 to Taylour Stevens (Halifax, NS) in the Final of the Canadian Junior Womens Championship, held March 25 - April 1, 2022 in Stratford, Ontario. To advance to the championship game, Deschenes won 10-5 over Katy Lukowich (Sudbury, NONT) in the semifinals of the 2022 Canadian Junior Womens Championship in Stratford, Ontario; and won 7-4 over Serena Gray-Withers (Edmonton, AB) in the quarterfinals. of the 2022 Canadian Junior Womens Championship in Stratford, Ontario;

Deschenes finished 6-2 in the 18-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Deschenes defeated Holly Hafeli (Kamloops, BC) 11-8, then won 10-3 against Claire Booth (Calgary, AB) and 13-4 against Bayly Scoffin (Whitehorse, YK). Deschenes won 9-4 against Morgan Maguet (East St. Paul, MB). Deschenes went on to lose 8-7 against Stevens. Deschenes responded with a 9-3 win over Lauren Cheal (Lennoxville, QC). Deschenes went on to lose 6-5 against Madison Kleiter (Saskatoon, SK). Deschenes responded with a 8-6 win over Rachel Steele (Toronto, ON) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Canadian Junior Womens Championship, Deschenes take home 18.505 world rankings points, moving up 78 spots the World Ranking Standings into 102nd place overall with 20.744 total points. Deschenes ranks 102nd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 20.744 points earned so far this season.
