Rachel Steele (Toronto, ON) finished 4-4 in the 18-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Steele lost 5-4 to Madison Kleiter (Saskatoon, SK), droppimg another game, 14-9 to Taylour Stevens (Halifax, NS) where Steele responded with a 8-4 win over Claire Booth (Calgary, AB). Steele went on to lose 8-7 against Holly Hafeli (Kamloops, BC). Steele responded with a 7-5 win over Lauren Cheal (Lennoxville, QC). Steele won 13-3 against Bayly Scoffin (Whitehorse, YK), then won 5-4 against Morgan Maguet (East St. Paul, MB). Steele went on to lose 8-6 against Emily Deschenes (Ottawa, ON) in their final qualifying round match.

Steele earned 5.047 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, moving up 35 spots the World Ranking Standings into 146th place overall with 7.286 total points. Steele ranks 146th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 7.286 points earned so far this season.
