Ursel lost 7-5 to Darcy Robertson (Winnipeg, MB) where Ursel responded with a 8-7 win over Alyssa Calvert (Carberry, MB). Ursel went on to lose 8-2 against Kristy McDonald (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.

Ursel earned 1.450 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, moving up 10 spots the World Ranking Standings into 188th place overall with 4.758 total points. Ursel ranks 182nd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 1.450 points earned so far this season.
