Marks/Kennedy finished 3-1 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Marks/Kennedy defeated Krista Shortridge/Brady Gillies (Lethbridge, AB) 7-3, then went on to lose 9-8 against Wilkes/Thiessen. Marks/Kennedy responded with a 8-0 win over Christa Shulman/Rodney Ouellette (Rocky Mountain House, AB).
