To advance to the championship game, Wilkes/Thiessen won 7-5 over Sarah Anderson/Korey Dropkin (Duluth, MN) in the semifinals of the 2021 Alberta Curling Series: Leduc in Leduc, Alberta; and won 10-5 over Lisa Parent/Tyler Powell (Edmonton, AB) in the quarterfinals.
 
Wilkes/Thiessen finished 3-0 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Wilkes/Thiessen defeated Kelsie Cygan/Ethan Chung (Edmonton, AB) 5-4, then won 9-8 against Marks/Kennedy and 8-5 against Anderson/Dropkin in their final qualifying round match.
