In their opening game, Papley/van Amsterdam defeated Krista Shortridge/Brady Gillies (Lethbridge, AB) 9-5, then won 10-2 against Pittman/Cody Smith (Okotoks, AB) and 9-5 against Sweeting/Kennedy. Papley/van Amsterdam won 9-7 against Cheryl Damen/Tyler van Amsterdam (Edmonton, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
