To advance to the championship game, Sweeting/Kennedy won 11-1 over Carrie Robertson/Alex Robertson (Stratford, ON) in the semifinals of the 2021 Alberta Curling Series: Beaumont in Beaumont, Alberta;

Sweeting/Kennedy finished 3-1 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Sweeting/Kennedy defeated Pittman/Cody Smith (Okotoks, AB) 7-1, then won 9-6 against Cheryl Damen/Tyler van Amsterdam (Edmonton, AB). Sweeting/Kennedy went on to lose 9-5 against Papley/van Amsterdam. Sweeting/Kennedy responded with a 8-1 win over Krista Shortridge/Brady Gillies (Lethbridge, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
