Palancsa/Kiss finished 2-1 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Palancsa/Kiss defeated Eirin Mesloe/Willhelm Naess (Lillehammer, NOR) 10-0, then went on to lose 9-8 against Marie Kaldvee/Harri Lill (Tallinn, EST). Palancsa/Kiss responded with a 8-2 win over Veronika Neznalova/Matej Neznal (Prague, CZE) in their final qualifying round match.
