Walker finished 3-1 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Walker lost 7-2 to Scheidegger, then responded with a 9-2 win over Krysta Hilker (Edmonton, AB). Walker won 10-1 against Melissa Pierce (Edmonton, AB), then won 7-2 against Kezama in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Alberta Curling Series: Avonair Championship title, Walker earned 27.565 world rankings points along with the $2,113CDN first prize cheque.
