Bruce Mouat (Stirling, UK) lost 5-4 to Niklas Edin (Karlstad, SWE) in the Final of the Winter Olympics, held February 9 - 20, 2022 in Beijing, China. To advance to the championship game, Mouat won 8-4 over John Shuster (Chaska, USA) in the semifinals

Mouat finished 8-1 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Mouat defeated Joel Retornaz (Pinerolo, ITA) 7-5, then went on to lose 9-7 against Shuster. Mouat responded with a 8-3 win over Steffen Walstad (Oslo, NOR). Mouat won 7-6 against Xiu Yue Ma (Beijing, CHN), then won 8-2 against Mikkel Krause (Hvidovre, DEN) and 6-5 against Peter De Cruz (Geneve, SUI). Mouat won 7-6 against Edin, then won 8-6 against Sergei Glukhov (Moscow, RUS) and 5-2 against Brad Gushue (St. John's, CAN) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Winter Olympics, Mouat take home 79.633 world rankings points, remaining in 1st place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 485.035 total points. Mouat ranks 1st overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 399.284 points earned so far this season.
