Bruce Mouat (Stirling, SCO) won 8-5 over Niklas Edin (Karlstad, SWE) in the Final of the Le Gruyere AOP European Curling Championships, held November 20 - 27, 2021 in Lillehammer, Norway. To advance to the championship game, Mouat won 9-3 over Steffen Walstad (Oslo, NOR) in the semifinals
 
Mouat finished 9-0 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Mouat defeated Edin 6-2, then won 6-2 against Kalle Kiiskinen (Hyvinkaa, FIN) and 7-2 against Joel Retornaz (Pinerolo, ITA). Mouat won 9-2 against Jaap van Dorp (Zoetermeer, NED), then won 10-5 against Sixten Totzek (Munich, GER) and 9-8 against Mikkel Krause (Hvidovre, DEN). Mouat won 7-1 against Peter De Cruz (Geneve, SUI), then won 10-5 against Lukas Klima (Prague, CZE) and 8-3 against Walstad in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Le Gruyere AOP European Curling Championships Championship title, Mouat earned 70.303 world rankings points. Mouat gained 3.035 points improving upon their best 3 events, though dropped 1 spots on the World Ranking Standings into 3rdplace overall with 403.406 total points. Mouat ranks 2nd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 231.903 points earned so far this season.
