Orrin Carson (Dumfries, SCO) run at the 2022 Scottish Curling Junior Championships came to an end in the semifinals with a 8-6 loss to Jack Strawhorn (Dumfries, SCO). of the 2022 Scottish Curling Junior Championships in Aberdeen, Scotland;
 
Carson finished 6-2 in the 9-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Carson defeated Gavin Cameron (Moray, SCO) 8-4, then won 6-1 against Stewart Kyle (Dumfries, SCO). Carson went on to lose 8-3 against James Craik (Forfar, SCO). Carson lost 10-4 to Strawhorn where Carson responded with a 9-2 win over Ewan Jackson (Stirling, SCO). Carson won 9-5 against Harry Gow (Borders, SCO), then won 7-2 against Arran Thomson (Perth, SCO) and 9-5 against Ross Craik (Forfar, SCO) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Carson earned 8.412 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the Scottish Curling Junior Championships, moving up 170 spots the World Ranking Standings into 216th place overall with 9.213 total points. Carson ranks 164th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 8.412 points earned so far this season.
