Arran Thomson (Perth, SCO) finished 2-6 in the 9-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Thomson lost 8-3 to Ewan Jackson (Stirling, SCO), droppimg another game, 10-3 to Ross Craik (Forfar, SCO). Thomson lost 11-6 to Craik. Thomson lost 8-2 to Jack Strawhorn (Dumfries, SCO) where Thomson responded with a 10-6 win over Gavin Cameron (Moray, SCO). Thomson went on to lose 7-2 against Orrin Carson (Dumfries, SCO). Thomson responded with a 9-6 win over Harry Gow (Borders, SCO). Thomson went on to lose 6-5 against Stewart Kyle (Dumfries, SCO) in their final qualifying round match.

Thomson earned 1.484 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, moving up 209 spots the World Ranking Standings into 353rd place overall with 1.484 total points. Thomson ranks 258th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 1.484 points earned so far this season.
