James Craik (Forfar, SCO) run at the 2022 Scottish Curling Championships came to an end in the semifinals with a 7-2 loss to Ross Paterson (Stirling, SCO). of the 2022 Scottish Curling Championships in Dumfries, Scotland, Scotland;
 
Craik finished 6-4 in the 6-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Craik lost 7-6 to Paterson, then responded with a 7-3 win over Ross Whyte (Dumfries, SCO). Craik won 10-8 against Mark Watt (Perth, SCO), then won 10-7 against Jack Strawhorn (Dumfries, SCO) and 10-9 against Cameron Bryce (Kelso, SCO). Craik went on to lose 7-5 against Paterson. Craik lost 6-5 to Whyte where Craik responded with a 8-3 win over Watt. Craik went on to lose 5-4 against Strawhorn. Craik responded with a 9-3 win over Bryce in their final qualifying round match.
 
Craik earned 13.203 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the Scottish Curling Championships. Craik move up 14 spots after posting a net gain of 10.532 points improving upon their best 6 results so far this season, ranking 66th overall with 58.801 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Craik ranks 62nd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 51.077 points earned so far this season.
