In their opening game, Magnusson defeated Rosander 4-2, then won 7-5 against Mats Nyberg (Danderyd, SWE) and 5-2 against Anders Kraupp (Danderyd, SWE). Magnusson won 6-3 against Emil Markusson (Ostersund, SWE), then won 5-4 against Joel Westerberg (Stockholm, SWE) and 5-4 against Axel Landelius (Mjolby, SWE). Magnusson went on to lose 7-6 against Michael Roxin (Linkoping, SWE). Magnusson lost 7-0 to Nyman. Magnusson lost 9-6 to Lars Gothberg (Malung, SWE) where Magnusson responded with a 7-5 win over Anders Westerberg (Sundbyberg, SWE). Magnusson went on to lose 6-5 against Fredrik Julius (Sundbyberg, SWE) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Swedish Eliteserien, Magnusson take home 13.716 world rankings points, moving up 17 spots the World Ranking Standings into 83rd place overall with 45.202 total points. Magnusson ranks 83rd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 45.202 points earned so far this season.
