Magnusson lost 9-6 to Lars Gothberg (Malung, SWE) where Magnusson responded with a 7-5 win over Anders Westerberg (Sundbyberg, SWE). Magnusson went on to lose 6-5 against Fredrik Julius (Sundbyberg, SWE) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Swedish Eliteserien, Magnusson take home 13.716 world rankings points, moving up 17 spots the World Ranking Standings into 83rd place overall with 45.202 total points.
