To advance to the championship game, Huerlimann won 6-4 over Andrea Crawford (Fredericton, NB) in the semifinals   of the 2021 Stu Sells 1824 Halifax Classic in Halifax, Nova Scotia; and won 5-2 over Rebecca Morrison (GB, UK) in the quarterfinals.  of the 2021 Stu Sells 1824 Halifax Classic in Halifax, Nova Scotia; 
 
Huerlimann finished 3-0 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Huerlimann defeated Sarah Hill (St. John's, NL) 7-6, then won 5-2 against Marlee Powers (Halifax, NS) and 9-2 against Tanya Hilliard (Halifax, NS) in their final qualifying round match.
