Brad Jacobs (Sault Ste Marie, NONT) lost 8-1 to Kevin Koe (Calgary, AB) in the Final of the IG Wealth Management Western Showdown, held October 8 - 11, 2021 at the Swift Current Curling Club in Swift Current, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Jacobs won 7-5 over Colton Flasch (Saskatoon, SK) in the semifinals of the 2021 IG Wealth Management Western Showdown in Swift Current, Saskatchewan, Canada; and won 6-2 over Matt Dunstone (Regina, SK) in the quarterfinals.
 
Jacobs finished 3-0 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Jacobs defeated Michael Carss (Saskatoon, SK) 8-2, then won 6-3 against Ryan Wiebe (Winnipeg, MB) and 5-1 against Yuta Matsumura (Sapporo, JPN) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the IG Wealth Management Western Showdown, Jacobs take home 45.289 world rankings points along with the $10,000CDN prize, remaining in 1st place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 338.864 total points. Jacobs ranks 2nd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 96.981 points earned so far this season.
