Tyler Tardi (Langley, BC) finished 4-2 in the 14-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Tardi defeated Braden Calvert (Winnipeg, MB) 8-6, then won 9-2 against Sean Grassie (Winnipeg, MB) and 9-5 against Pat Ferris (Grimsby, ON). Tardi went on to lose 6-4 against Glenn Howard (Penetanguishene, ON). Tardi responded with a 10-3 win over Colton Flasch (Saskatoon, SK). Tardi went on to lose 9-6 against Paul Flemming (Halifax, NS) in their final qualifying round match.
