Mark Kean (Toronto, ON) lost 7-2 to Pat Ferris (Grimsby, ON) in the Final of the Stu Sells Port Elgin Superspiel, held November 12 - 14, 2021 at the Port Elgin Curling Club in Port Elgin, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Kean won 7-3 over Sam Steep (Seaforth, ON) in the semifinals of the 2021 Stu Sells Port Elgin Superspiel in Port Elgin, Ontario, Canada; and won 5-3 over Shane Latimer (Ajax, ON) in the quarterfinals. of the 2021 Stu Sells Port Elgin Superspiel in Port Elgin, Ontario, Canada;

Kean finished 3-1 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Kean defeated Al Hutchinson (Owen Sound, ON) 7-4, then won 6-4 against Sam Mooibroek (Kitchener, ON). Kean went on to lose 7-4 against Rob Ainsley (Toronto, ON). Kean responded with a 7-5 win over Brent Ross (Harriston, ON) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Stu Sells Port Elgin Superspiel, Kean take home 14.913 world rankings points along with the $2,100CDN prize, moving up 15 spots the World Ranking Standings into 54th place overall with 63.531 total points.
