To advance to the championship game, de Jong won 5-4 over Paul Cseke (Victoria, BC) in the semifinals   of the 2021 Raymond James Kelowna Double Cash in Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada;

In their opening game, de Jong defeated Matthew McCrady (New Westminster, BC) 8-3, then won 7-0 against Jim Cotter (Vernon, BC) and 8-5 against Jeff Richard (Kelowna, BC). de Jong won 8-5 against Rob Nobert (Vernon, BC) in their final qualifying round match.
