Brad Gushue (St. John's, CAN) lost 8-6 to Niklas Edin (Karlstad, SWE) in the Final of the LGT World Men's Curling Championship, held April 2 - 10, 2022 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Advancing directly to the semifinals, Gushue won 8-5 over Korey Dropkin (Duluth, USA) to advance to the championship game. of the 2022 LGT World Men's Curling Championship in Las Vegas, Nevada;
 
Gushue finished 10-2 in the 13-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Gushue defeated Lukas Klima (Prague, CZE) 6-4, then won 8-7 against Magnus Ramsfjell (Lillehammer, NOR) and 9-6 against Wouter Gosgens (Zoetermeer, NED). Gushue won 10-6 against Yannick Schwaller (Bern, SUI), then won 10-4 against Joel Retornaz (Trentino, ITA) and 11-7 against Sixten Totzek (Munich, GER). Gushue went on to lose 7-5 against Edin. Gushue responded with a 8-3 win over Kalle Kiiskinen (Hyvinkaa, FIN). Gushue went on to lose 10-6 against Dropkin. Gushue responded with a 10-2 win over Soo-Hyuk Kim (Uiseong, KOR). Gushue won 8-6 against Kyle Waddell (Stirling, SCO), then won 9-2 against Tobias Thune (Hvidovre, DEN) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the LGT World Men's Curling Championship, Gushue take home 55.212 world rankings points, remaining in 1st place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 501.711 total points. Gushue ranks 1st overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 501.711 points earned so far this season.
