In their opening game, Gosgens lost 7-4 to Niklas Edin (Karlstad, SWE), droppimg another game, 13-7 to Sixten Totzek (Munich, GER). Gosgens lost 9-6 to Brad Gushue (St. John's, CAN). Gosgens lost 6-3 to Yannick Schwaller (Bern, SUI) where Gosgens responded with a 11-9 win over Joel Retornaz (Trentino, ITA). Gosgens went on to lose 8-3 against Magnus Ramsfjell (Lillehammer, NOR). Gosgens lost 8-3 to Korey Dropkin (Duluth, USA). Gosgens lost 11-5 to Lukas Klima (Prague, CZE) where Gosgens responded with a 5-4 win over Kyle Waddell (Stirling, SCO). Gosgens went on to lose 7-2 against Tobias Thune (Hvidovre, DEN). Gosgens lost 9-8 to Kalle Kiiskinen (Hyvinkaa, FIN) where Gosgens responded with a 8-7 win over Soo-Hyuk Kim (Uiseong, KOR) in their final qualifying round match.

Gosgens earned 11.293 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 37 of the event schedule, Gosgens did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Gosgens ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
