Kyle Waddell (Stirling, SCO) qualified for the 2022 LGT World Men's Curling Championship playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 6-4 against Korey Dropkin (Duluth, USA). of the 2022 LGT World Men's Curling Championship in Las Vegas, Nevada;
 
Waddell finished 7-5 in the 13-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Waddell defeated Joel Retornaz (Trentino, ITA) 5-4, then went on to lose 9-6 against Soo-Hyuk Kim (Uiseong, KOR). Waddell lost 7-4 to Magnus Ramsfjell (Lillehammer, NOR) where Waddell responded with a 7-3 win over Tobias Thune (Hvidovre, DEN). Waddell won 6-4 against Sixten Totzek (Munich, GER), then won 9-7 against Dropkin and 10-5 against Kalle Kiiskinen (Hyvinkaa, FIN). Waddell won 6-0 against Lukas Klima (Prague, CZE). Waddell went on to lose 5-4 against Wouter Gosgens (Zoetermeer, NED). Waddell lost 8-2 to Niklas Edin (Karlstad, SWE). Waddell lost 8-6 to Brad Gushue (St. John's, CAN) where Waddell responded with a 9-7 win over Yannick Schwaller (Bern, SUI) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Waddell earned 30.116 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the LGT World Men's Curling Championship. For week 37 of the event schedule, Waddell did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Waddell ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
