Lauren Mann (Ottawa, ON) 12-2, then won 11-2 against Laurie St-Georges (Laval, QC). Hunkin went on to lose 6-5 against Kerry Galusha (Yellowknife, NT). Hunkin responded with a 11-3 win over Kaitlyn Jones (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Hunkin earned 10.200 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the Canadian Curling PRE-Trials Direct-Entry Event. For week 9 of the event schedule, Hunkin did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Hunkin ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
