Calvert finished 4-0 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Calvert defeated Jed Brundidge (East St. Paul, MN) 5-3, then won 5-3 against McDonald and 7-1 against Ty Dilello (Winnipeg, MB). Calvert won 7-4 against Corey Chambers (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.
