Belgium's Tom Van Waterschoot finished 8-1 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Belgium's Tom Van Waterschoot defeated Luxembourg's Alex Benoy 13-4, then won 16-2 against 's and 7-6 against Ireland's John Wilson. Belgium's Tom Van Waterschoot won 8-3 against Andorra's Josep Garcia, then won 12-2 against Romania's Valentin Anghelinei. Belgium's Tom Van Waterschoot went on to lose 5-1 against Slovakia's Pavol Pitonak. Belgium's Tom Van Waterschoot responded with a 6-5 win over Ukraine's Mykyta Velychko.
