In their opening game, Slovenia's Jure Culic defeated Ukraine's Mykyta Velychko 12-1, then won 10-2 against Luxembourg's Alex Benoy and 9-2 against Croatia's Ante Baus. Slovenia's Jure Culic won 13-0 against Romania's Valentin Anghelinei, then won 8-3 against Slovakia's Pavol Pitonak and 11-2 against 's . Slovenia's Jure Culic went on to lose 6-4 against Ireland's John Wilson. Slovenia's Jure Culic responded with a 12-4 win over Andorra's Josep Garcia.
