CHAMPION: Sinclair/Ruohonen Wins 2021 USA Mixed Doubles Olympic Trials Qualifier

Jamie Sinclair/Rich Ruohonen (Chaska, MN) won 2-1 over Monica Walker/Alex Leichter (Boston, MA) in the Final of the USA Mixed Doubles Olympic Trials Qualifier, held September 17 - 19, 2021 at the Four Seasons Curling Club in Blaine, United States.

Sinclair/Ruohonen finished 4-1 in the 13-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Sinclair/Ruohonen defeated Ann Podoll/Nathan Parry (Fargo, ND) 10-3, then went on to lose 6-5 against Christine McMakin/Riley Fenson (Bemidji, MN). Sinclair/Ruohonen responded with a 7-3 win over Sydney Mullaney/Chase Sinnett (Wayland, MA). Sinclair/Ruohonen won 7-6 against Walker/Leichter, then won 9-5 against Tara Peterson/Kroy Nernberger (Chaska, MN) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the USA Mixed Doubles Olympic Trials Qualifier Championship title, Sinclair/Ruohonen earned 17.254 world rankings points, remaining in 778th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 17.254 total points. Sinclair/Ruohonen ranks 24th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 17.254 points earned so far this season.
