Symonds won 8-2 against Carter Holden (St. John's, NL) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Rick Rowsell Classic Championship title, Symonds earned 13.803 world rankings points along with the $2,600CDN first prize cheque, moving up 25 spots the World Ranking Standings into 64th place overall with 34.003 total points.
